BioBorn and raised in Vancouver, one of Canada's busiest and most industrious entertainment cities, Marissa K. Adams was fueled by an early passion for performing. Her family did a great deal of international traveling sparking curiosity in cultures other than her own, and a penchant for learning other people's stories. Studying classical speech and drama as a child, Marissa used her skills to perform in various dance, music and dramatic recitals. After graduating from the University of British Columbia with an honors degree in Political Science, she decided to readdress her love of acting, immediately auditioning for Vancouver Film School's full time acting for film and television program. Since graduating from Vancouver Film School, Marissa continues to train with various coaches in the city. She is continuing her studies at The Lyric School of Acting. In July, Marissa will be on stage in Spectral Theatre's "Your Own Personal B Movie." She most recently filmed the title role in the independent short "Crave" directed by Matt Fentiman, and the supporting role in Nathanial Geary's "Tequila Rose." When she's not on stage, on set, or in the classroom, Marissa can be found writing, running, playing the piano or wandering the city. |
